➜ What is the Nighthawk App?

Netgear Nighthawk is a router application that provides the users with the easy-to-use interface that makes it easy for you to set up, control, and monitor your home network. Using the application, you can perform multiple functions that help you to enjoy the seamless router experience. It offers users convenient access to various router features. This application is compatible with Android as well as iOS devices. The following are the features you can access through the Nighthawk application. 

• Enable remote access to monitor the home network from anywhere.
• Perform a speed test to check the network connectivity. 
• Setup guest WiFi.
• Share WiFi by scanning QR codes.
• Get a list of all the connected devices.
• Configure router settings as per your preference. 

➜ How to Download and Install Nighthawk?

1. Turn on your mobile device and launch the “Google Play Store” or “App Store” on android and iOS devices, respectively. 
2. In the application, enter “Nighthawk” in the search field which is located on the top of the application. 
3. Now, you will see the list of applications that are searched from the Nighthawk keyword. Choose the “Netgear Nighthawk” app. 
4. This will take you to the product window. 
5. Then, hit the “Install” button to initiate the download process.
6. Make sure your mobile is well connected to the internet during the download process. 
7. After downloading, click the application’s icon twice and open it. 
8. The Netgear terms window will now popup on your screen. Read the document carefully and further, you have to agree with it by hitting the “I Agree” tab. 
9. Finally, tap “Get Started” and the installation process will now get completed. 

➜ Login Into Your MyNetgear Account

After the successful completion of the installation process, you will be asked to access your MyNetgear account. For this, you will get two options to choose from i.e. Sign-In and Create Account. 

• If you already have an account, then click the “Sign-In” button and provide the login credentials that are associated with Netgear.
• If you are not the previous user and don’t have an account yet, then click “Create Account” and then provide the information for the successful creation of the Netgear router account.

➜ How to Establish a Connection Between the Netgear router and Mobile Device?

In the next window, Netgear will ask you to connect your mobile device with the Netgear router. You are required to disconnect from the other if you are connected with any. Then, set up your Netgear router and connect it to your mobile. For connection, you are provided with two options i.e. 

• QR Code: On choosing this option, you have to locate the QR code on your router and scan it from your device. If prompted, then allow the Nighthawk application to access the camera. 
• Manual Connection: Here, you need to connect your modem and router using the ethernet cable. Then, move to your device settings and open the WiFi connection screen. Select the “Netgear router” from the list of available routers. This will successfully establish the connection.
